Mail

Mail is your Gmail, read as conversations. Kedrel does not replace Gmail. Filters, the vacation responder and emptying the trash stay in Gmail, through Open in Gmail.

Read

The list is Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Starred, Spam, Archive, Trash, All mail, then your folders and labels. Open a conversation in place of the list. Unread conversations are marked. Remote images load through Kedrel, so the sender does not see your IP address.

Search uses Gmail’s own syntax and covers the mailbox.

Write

New message, reply, reply all and forward. You can add Cc and Bcc. The editor has font, size, bold, italic, underline, colour, alignment, lists, quote, strikethrough, links and images, and it can insert your Gmail signature. Kedrel cleans the HTML before sending, the same way it cleans mail you receive.

Drafts save on their own. You can reopen or delete them. The From address is one of the send-as addresses Gmail has confirmed.

File a conversation

You can mark read or unread, star, archive, trash, mark as spam, move to a folder and add a label, including on several conversations at once. A mailing list that offers an https unsubscribe link shows Unsubscribe. Kedrel opens that link. It does not send the unsubscribe itself.

Attachments

Open, download, or keep an attachment in Kedrel. You can also save it to Drive. When you write, attach a file from the device, from Kedrel files, or from Drive. Past 25 MB, a Drive file goes as a Drive link, as in Gmail.
