Connectors

Connectors is where you link Google, link it again, or revoke it. One Google account per Kedrel account. Connecting another replaces the first.

Connect Google

Connect opens Google. You choose the account and accept Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive and Contacts together. Kedrel asks for gmail.modify, calendar, drive, contacts, and openid and email so it can recognise the account.

You can refuse a service on Google’s screen. Kedrel then uses only what you accepted. A Google account always has Contacts. If People cannot be reached, the console says the provider failed.

The plus button in the header opens the same choice on any page. A field there asks Kedrel for a connector that is not offered yet. The request includes your name and email. Kedrel does not keep the text.

What stays at Google

Mail, calendar, contacts and Drive are read from Google when you open them. Kedrel does not copy the mailbox, the calendar or the contacts. The privacy policy describes the two exceptions: a short encrypted copy of listed mail, and a file you explicitly keep in Kedrel.

Reconnect and revoke

If Google ends the access, the connection is marked expired, you get a notice, and Connectors offers Reconnect. Revoke disconnects Google in Kedrel and at Google. A service your Google account does not have is named, and Kedrel stops asking for it.
